Shaking Medicine is a somatic body based practice to assist the body in releasing deep muscular patterns of stress, tension and trauma.
It is combines the modality of TRE (Trauma Release Exercises) with ancient eastern practices such as Yoga and Qi Gong and has been shown to be highly beneficial for people suffering with stress, anxiety, trauma or PTSD. It doesn't require talking about an event, feeling or issue, avoiding the added stress and difficulty of revisiting a past scenario.
During a class or 1:1 session you will be guided through a set of exercises that safely activate an instinctive mechanism of therapeutic shaking that releases the deep tension created and held in the body during a traumatic experience or through chronic stress. This simultaneously calms the nervous system, allowing the body to return to a state of balance.
